Color Chart

Modern LED technology can now effictively replace tradional lighting colors.  Color is measured in degrees Kelvin.  Generally speaking, Cooler whites are better and healthier for task lighting while the warmer colors are preferred for relaxing settings.  Natural white can be used as compromise between the two ends of the spectrum.

Some traditional color examples:

  • Edison (incandescent) light bulb: 2700-3500K
  • Typical fluorescent office fixture: 4100-4500K
  • Crisp white halogen lamp: 6000-7000K
