The following story is the actual experience of customer Tom in Pennsylvania, after replacing all the lights in his house with LED lights....  
 
"After replacing a total of 64 - 60 watt incandescent light bulbs in my home 2 years ago, and replaced all of them with Earth-Line SSL's LED bulbs. There was no lumen loss and I reduced overall Kwh usage on lights from 3840w to 386w....a 90% decrease in power consumption.

I have kept ALL my lights on 24/7 since I replaced the incandescent lights,  testing out the new LED lights to evaluate their performance.
The funny thing is that the utility company since then sent several letters to me after the meter reader came out, noticed all my lights on but a dramatic reduction in usage. To them it just didn't add up. So they have had SEVERAL crews out at my home MULTIPLE TIMES to figure out why their meter wasn't working right, and actually replaced the meter twice!
 
The last time I was home when they had a supervisor and two crews at my house changing the meter AGAIN and looking around my house.
The supervisor said that there was a problem since I "obviously was using a lot more electricity than my meter was showing because each time they were at my house all the lights were on."
(Trying not to burst out laughing at this point...) I was asked to let them into my home to see if I had altered anything at the panel. When they could not find anything I was finally asked what I had done.
So I showed them the LED bulbs I had put into all my light fixtures. The utility supervisor was amazed! He asked the other people in the two crews to look because it looked so good. Instead of the skepticism that I was initially approached with, the utility company people were all smiles because it looked so natural and no different than standard incandescent bulbs.
Since then, I have had no problems with the utility company, my meter or the overall usage at my home....which is still a fraction of what it used to be."
